At Reagan Airport:Turner Construction Pre-Bid Walk Thru & Matchmaking Session

Turner Construction is preparing an event at Reagan National Airport for Tuesday, April 25th, 2-5 pm. Turner is involved in the construction of a new terminal and ancillary facilities. This long term project offers a great many opportunities for small, minority, locally based construction enterprises.

The activity, open to construction companies, DBEs, CBEs and other minority firms throughout the region who have qualified -or are able to qualify- for Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) certification, will gather in the lobby of the historic Terminal A building at the airport (2401 Smith Blvd., Arlington, VA. 22202).

On that Tuesday, 4/25, there will be a 'Pre-Bid Site Walk-Thru' of the project. This Turner Construction work is slated to last approximately 7 years at a cost approaching $2 billion which will allow sub-contractors and small companies ample opportunity to bid on aspects of the construction over time.

There will also be a Matchmaking Session during the event that will attempt to pair sub-contractors who can achieve efficiencies of scale bidding together on the various 'packages' that form part of the project. Turner has consistently and constantly encouraged the formation of mentor/protégé relationships among subcontractors and has created these matchmaking sessions to encourage them.

Construction companies large and small, including minority and Hispanic owned firms are encouraged to attend.
